Jesus before Pilate – Simplified Cowboy Version (SCV)

by Kevin on November 12, 2010

22 Then the Circuit Judge, name of Pilate, asked the jury, “What’s yer verdict, on this here man, the Boss’s Son, name of Jesus, who folks have been callin’ the Messiah”

They hollered back, “Hang ‘im!”

23 “Why?” Pilate demanded. “What crime has he committed?”

But the jury hollered even louder, “Hang ‘im!”

24 Pilate saw he wasn’t gettin’ nowhere and that a lynch mob was a-gatherin’. So he sent for a bowl of water and washed his hands before the jury, sayin’, “I ‘m innocent of this man’s blood. The responsibility is yours!”

25 And the jury and all the on-lookers and camp followers hollered back, “His blood be on us and on our children.”
