Mew Mew Power is the English language dub of Tokyo Mew Mew, licenced by 4kids Entertainment. The English dub aired from February 19th 2005 to July 2006 with only 23 episodes airing in the United States. The show was later dropped from the 4Kids block due to Disney Channel re-dubbed it with some merchandise tie-ins.
Episode 01: The Mew Kid in Town
The episode starts off with average high school student Zoey Hanson on a date with her crush, Mark, who is revealed to be one of the most popular boys in school. The two of them go to an endangered animals exhibit, which Mark is passionate about. He appears to be completely at ease with Zoey, while she obsesses constantly over what to say next to him. They walk under an archway with a strange golden cat statue atop it, and the scene then changes to show two young adult males observing her. Mark and Zoey soon leave the exhibit in favour of going to the park. In order to disguise her disappointment at thinking Mark was going to kiss her - when instead he burst into impassioned speech about wanting to save the planet - Zoey professes her need for juice, which Mark goes to get for her. She spots a 'cute place' in the distance, which is revealed to be Cafe Mew Mew; meanwhile, inside Cafe Mew Mew, the two young men, which are revealed to be Elliot and Wesley, activate a 'genetic stimulator' upon seeing that Zoey is alone. A large tower then rises up out of the top of Cafe Mew Mew, with a red light atop it, and the ground begins to shake. Panic ensues, and upon seeeing a flash of red light, Zoey loses consciousness.
Episode 02: Mew Two
Elliot and Wesley take Zoey to Cafe Mew Mew and tell her about the Mew Project. A project which combined endangered animal DNA with compatible humans, so that the human could combat an alien force who plan to use the Earth's animals to wipe out the human race. With little choice but to accept, Zoey is assigned to work at the Cafe so she can be ready for whatever trouble may come, and second, to find the rest of the Mew team. Zoey doesn't have to look far to find the second Mew. Zoey meets a very stuck up rich girl named Corina Bucksworth. She is sent by Elliot and Wesley to investigate Corina and is invited in for dinner. Unfortunately, Corina's dog, Mickey, is turned into a Predasite. Zoey transforms into a Mew Mew and begs Corina to do so when Corina discovers a Mew Mew Mark on her back. Corina refuses to become a "freak girl" like Zoey, but when Mickey attacks her, she transforms into a Mew and defeats the Predasite inside Mickey.
Episode 03: Pooltergeist
The episode starts off with Zoey, Megan and Mimi late for school, Zoey trailing behind the other two, while they say that they won't wait for her any more. When Zoey runs across a busy street to catch up with her friends, an oncoming truck blares its horn at her and Megan and Mimi yell at her to watch out. Zoey, seeing the truck, jumps into the air, turning numerous acrobatic flips before landing, unharmed, beside her friends, who are both stunned. They then remember that they are late for school, and continue running. Their progress is watched by the school gymnastics team, whose leader, Mary-Lou Smith, claims that Zoey will be an excellent asset to the team.
The gymnastics team confronts Zoey when she, Megan and Mimi are sitting in detention. They demand that she join the gymnastics team, and Zoey is confused, not regarding herself as a gymnast of any sort. When she asks why they want her, Mary-Lou says it's because they saw her astonishing display of acrobatics that morning, and the other teammates say that they have to finish in the top three at the upcoming competition or the team will be disbanded. When Zoey conferences with the other two, they tell her she should accept their offer, especially because it will impress Mark, but Zoey is still unconvinced and tells Mary-Lou that she doesn't want to join. The members of the team then force her into a leotard, and when she looks in the mirror, Zoey decides that the outfit isn't that bad, and decides to give gymnastics a try.
At practice, Zoey has a 'Mew Mew moment' when she sees a gymnastics ball before her, and begins playing with it, initiating an astonishing display of gymnastic ability as she does so. The team looks on in awe, but Zoey, remembering herself, abruptly stops, causing the ball to crash on top of her head. Mary-Lou claims that with a little more practice, she'll be unstoppable.
Later, at the Cafe, Zoey tells Bridget and Corina that the gymnastics team has enlisted her, and says that she doesn't know what to do; she says that it was an accident the team saw her use her secret power, and knows that it's the only way she'll be any good. Corina tells her that the whole point of secret powers is that they have to stay secret, and Zoey agrees, refraining from using them at the next practice session. Training is brutal, and she finds herself lagging behind the others as they run. Dismayed, Zoey sits alone on a bench with Mini-Mew at her side, lamenting that she'll have to tell Mary-Lou and the other girls that she's quitting. While sitting there, Mark and the other kendo fighters jog past, and he stops to tell her that he thinks her joining gymnastics is cool, saying that he can't wait to watch her at the competition.
Her resolve reignited, Zoey proceeds to excel at practices, and while it is actually Mark's approval and her desire to impress him fuelling her, Mary-Lou thinks that her pep talks have finally gotten to her. Before the competition, Zoey sees that Corina, Bridget, Elliot and Wesley have all come to watch her, adding to the pressure. When her name is called to do her ribbon routine, however, Zoey sees that Mark is not in the audience and freezes up, thinking she can't do it. Despite her teammates' cries for her to go, she does not commence the routine, and is about to forfeit when Mark enters the arena, calling down to her that he is sorry he was late. Confidence renewed, Zoey launches into her routine, and everyone cheers for her.
While Zoey's team does a group performance, the audience sees Dren, who unleashed a Predasite upon the arena. Mini-Mew warns Elliot, who stages a fire in order to evacuate everyone and then yells at Zoey to transform and stop Dren. She does so, joining Mew Corina and Mew Bridget outside, where they see Dren and a Predasite-infused seal. The Mews struggle to beat it, but Mew Zoey uses her gymnastics training to aid them in defeating it, though because of her exhaustion her performance suffers at the rescheduled competition. Their school finishes second, ensuring the gymnastics team's future, and Zoey then says that she is leaving the team, who thank her for her help and tell her she's welcome back anytime.
Zoey then leaves the arena with Mark, who says that it was weird how the competition was stopped but then says it was good of them to reschedule it. Zoey agrees, and the seal that they saved from the Predasite suddenly appears, knocking Zoey over and licking her face. The episode ends with Mark laughing at the stunning display of the animal's affection for her, saying that she might have saved his life or something.
Episode 04: The Lion Thing
Zoey is freaking out over Dren's kiss and is even too bummed out to accept Mark's invite to the zoo/amusment park. But thanks to Mini Mew, she ends up going on the date and is having a great time, until Dren shows up.
Episode 05: Gymewstics
The episode starts off with Zoey, Megan and Mimi late for school, Zoey trailing behind the other two, while they say that they won't wait for her any more. When Zoey runs across a busy street to catch up with her friends, an oncoming truck blares its horn at her and Megan and Mimi yell at her to watch out. Episode 06: Party 'Til You Mew
Elliot invites piano musician Maria Rivera to perform at a ball benefiting animal rights. However, Zoey, Bridget, and Corina don't know Spanish since she speaks it. Things get worse when during the ball, Dren uses Maria's spirit for a new Predasite transformation.
Episode 07: Monkey See, Monkey Mew
The episode begins with Zoey grumbling to Mini Mew about Elliot unfairly running a half-priced veggie drink sale every time it is her turn to get groceries. When she falls over from the weight of her bags, she realizes she is outside the park, and decides, fuelled by Mini Mew's encouragement, to take a break for a few minutes. While relaxing on a bench, her rest is interrupted by a group of people who are cheering on a young girl doing acrobatics to entertain them. Realizing she is a performer, Zoey wonders if she is any good, and the girl, overhearing her, tells her that she'll show her, despite Zoey's protests. Proclaiming that she is Kikki the Great, she balances on her hands on a ball, displays her talents as a Kabuki Ball Bouncer, balances on a chair, spins plates, breathes fire and launches herself out of a cannon ball. Zoey applauds her and then, realizing the show is over, gets up to leave, but Kikki asks for a tip, which Zoey gives her quite literally; she says to stay in school and never do drugs, but Kikki, unabashed, tells her she meant money. At Kikki's insistence, Zoey gives her a handful of candy, but the young girl continues to pursue her, demanding money. Zoey accidently knocks her over, and Kikki begins to make a scene, wailing at her reluctance to pay her. As a crowd begins to accumulate around them, Kikki does another trick, causing a shark to pop out of a top hat and frightening Zoey, who pops her ears and tail in panic. Kikki deduces that Zoey's reluctance to tip her is because she is a fellow performer, and asks if she can try her ears and tail on. When she confusedly exclaims that they won't come off and wonders if they are real, Zoey, worried her cover is about to be blown, grabs Kikki and runs away.
Forcing Kikki to promise that she won't tell anyone about what she saw, Zoey releases her, and Kikki excitedly rants about how she is a cat, demanding her own ears and tail so that she can make more money at her street shows. Despite Zoey's claims that it doesn't work like that, Kikki tells her she's willing to do anything to get them, and Zoey, in order to get away, tells Kikki to do a loop around to park on her ball before grabbing her groceries and sprinting out of the park. She encounters Bridgette, who says Elliot told her to look for her when she didn't show up. Zoey thinks it's a sign on affection, but Bridget says it's because of the line for health drinks. The two walk to Cafe Mew Mew, and Zoey explains that she was late because of 'some weird girl in the park who made her ears and tail pop out'. Bridget asks her if it was a girl in an orange uniform, and when Zoey says yes, Bridget points out Kikki, who demands her ears and tail, and Zoey runs away, leaving Bridget with the groceries as she attempts to lose Kikki, who follows her all around the city. She eventually steals Zoey's handkerchief and says that she'll give it to her when she gets her ears and tail, but Zoey, losing her patience, yells at Kikki, telling her she is the strangest girl she has ever met, shouting that she should relax and stop following her. When Kikki tries to return her handerchief, Zoey ignores her and storms away, angrily lamenting that her whole afternoon was wasted.
When she arrives at the Cafe, Corina and Elliot berate her for popping her ears and tail in public, and Zoey retorts that it was only because she was rattled by a weird girl in the park. Corina tells her that that girl is always at the park because she lives in a shelter and needs to make money, startling Zoey. She is distracted the next day at school, telling Meg and Mimi that it is because of Mark and cryptically tells them that she is worried about her secret identity and Mark's reaction if he ever found out about it. She then runs into Mark, and tells him about her sorrow at yelling at Kikki. Mark encourages her to go to the park and apologize to Kikki, and she does so.
Meanwhile, Dren, who stole the spirit of a musician in an allyway, confronts Kikki, who is continuing to balance on her ball, trying to get her ears and tail. He tells her that he likes her spirit, and attempts to steal it, though Kikki proves defiant. Zoey appears, but is shocked to see Dren in the act of stealing Kikki's spirit. She transforms and stops him, and when she refuses to allow Dren to get at Kikki, he attacks her. While running away and dragging Kikki behind her, Mew Corina and Mew Bridget appear in the distance, and Mew Corina attacks Dren with her Heart Arrow. Dren, unphased, infuses the spirit he stole with a Predasite, creating a musician lizard Predasite, and Corina and Zoey go off to fight it, telling Bridget to look after Kikki. Corina and Zoey struggle to fight it, because the Predasite stops them from doing their attacks, while Bridget struggles to restrain Kikki, who says that she can help. She drops Zoey's handkerchief, and it fuels her desire to help, causing her to break away from Bridget. When the Predasite prepares to attack the incapacitated Mew Zoey and Mew Corina with a huge blast of energy, Kikki jumps in front of them, taking the blast for them. It is then revealed that she created a massive boulder to shield all three of them from the blast.
Zoey notices that Kikki has grown a pair of ears, and she delightedly exclaims that she finally managed to get her cat ears, though Corina says that they look slightly different. Mini Mew them gives Kikki a Power Pendant, and she transforms into a Mew Mew, infused with a Golden Lion Tamarin. Though Dren is unimpressed, Kikki proceeds to defeat the lizard Predasite with ease. Though Dren proclaims that he will be back, the Mews are unphased, welcoming Kikki to the team back at the Cafe. The Mews and Elliot and Wesley are slightly stunned at her hyperness.
Episode 08: Spa Blahs!
Bridget receives a ticket for a new spa being made in the mountains. The girls encounter Marco, a boy who almost looks like Mark who doesn't want developers building on the mountain. It would be enough to anger the spirit of Isaoshi. What will happen?
Episode 09: Do Mew Want to Dance?
Zoey, worried about not having a dress to wear on her next date with Mark, asks to borrow one from Corina. The girls visit Corina's mansion and end up running into her older brother, Sergio, who seems quite cold. It's revealed he and Corina don't get along too well, but did in the past. Zoey, Kikki, and Bridget decide to try and convince Sergio to attend Corina's upcoming ballet recital in hopes of getting the two back to the friendship they shared previously. Sergio eventually meets with a disgruntled Corina along with the other three girls, but the reunion is interrupted by Dren and a dancing Predasite. It's Corina's turn in the spotlight as she moves into action when Sergio is hurt protecting her. But can the two make up?
Episode 10: Hollywood Mew Mew
The episode starts off with a couple walking home from what is implied to have been a romantic date, but their exchange is interrupted when a massive mutant fish jumps out of the water underneath the bridge they were walking over. Before the fish can attack them, however, there is a flash of bright purple light and a light-composed whip hits the fish, returning it to normal and causing the Predasite to fly away. The couple, stunned, sees the silhouette of what looks like a young woman with the tail and ears of a wolf standing atop a pillar. She tells them they can stop trembling, and then jumps away, despite the man's demands to know her identity.
Meanwhile, at Cafe Mew Mew, Bridget comes running into the Cafe, saying she has bad news. Zoey and Kikki, who are on-duty, see that Bridget discovered an article in a magazine that talks about a 'secret female superhero who saves lives, battles monsters'. Bridget tearfully deduces that someone must have taken a picture of one of them, and wails that she hopes it wasn't her. Kikki, however, says that the woman in the picture can't have been any of them, and produces a picture of Zoey, Corina and Bridget at in their Zoot suits and cuts them out, comparing them to the silhouette. Zoey, she says, is too stocky, Bridget has what she calls 'grandma hair' that does not match the woman in the photo's, and Corina and herself are too short. Zoey and Bridget then realize that the woman must be the fifth Mew Mew.
Soon after this, Corina arrives at the Cafe, demanding to know what is going on, and Kikki tells her that they've found their fifth team member. Corina looks at the mysterious silhouette, then looks away, apparently shocked. The others realize she must recognize who the Mew is, and while trying to ignore Kikki's interrogations, a magazine slips out of her bag. She hurriedly grabs it, but Kikki takes it from her, and it is revealed that the woman on the cover is Renee Roberts, a famous idol. Kikki confirms that Renee is the fifth Mew Mew by cutting out a picture of her, and Corina launches into a delighted rant about how Renee is the fifth member of the Mew Mews, while the others look on in shock. It is revealed that Corina is a huge fan of her and knows everything about her, and Elliot and Wesley come in, telling the girls that they need to confirm that Renee is a Mew Mew by auditioning for the TV show 'Real Talent'.
Zoey, Corina and Bridget go to the audition, and Zoey's fantasy about winning is interrupted by Corina, who claims that they need to remain focused. The judges then come in, last of all Renee, who causes quite a stir with the contestants. Corina's audition, in which she dances ballet, is interrupted by someone claiming a flamethrowing baby monkey is wrecking havoc backstage. Zoey and Bridget think it is a Predasite, but it is revealed to be Kikki, furious that they left her behind and demanding she be allowed to audition too. She continues to breathe fire, and though Bridget and Zoey manage to restrain her, one of the judges, a famous fashion designer named Monsieur Lapain, is upset by Kikki's antics and proclaims that the auditions are over, to everyone's shock. Zoey and Bridget try to bargain with him, pleading to allow Corina to audition, but Zoey blows it by saying that she's always loved Lapain's handbags, which he doesn't make. The other judges agree that the auditions are over, but Renee, to everyone's surprise, argues, protesting in French to Monsieur Lapain that though the Mews' act may have been strange, there was nothing really wrong with it. When Monsieur Lapain suggests that Renee dances to show the girls how auditions are properly done, she does so, and Corina, overcome with emotion at seeing Renee in person and the fact that she is a Mew Mew, excitedly proclaims to Renee that she is a huge fan, but then also begins to talk about her being a Mew Mew, saying she must have a strange new mark on her body and that she is part of a team of superheroes, but Renee interrupts her, calling her a psycho fan and telling her to get lost.
Corina is completely broken up, rejecting Kikki's attempts to apologize for ruining her audition, while Zoey and Bridget talk to Elliot and Wesley about how disastrously the audition went. Elliot does not appear to take Corina's depression seriously, to Zoey's fury. Bridget laments that Renee probably doesn't want to give up her fame so that she can fight aliens and work at a cafe.
That night, Zoey's sleep is interrupted by Mini Mew claiming that there is a Predasite alert. Zoey tells Mini Mew to go warn the others and transforms, meeting Mew Corina, Mew Bridget and Mew Kikki outside a 'creepy old place' as Zoey puts it. They enter a scary, old building where they are stunned to see Renee already there, and Mini Mew continues to proclaim that there is a Predasite Alert. None of the Mews, however, can see any, until a flock of crows crash through a stained glass window and attack the Mews. Dren appears with a mutant crow on his arm, claiming that Renee has sided with him and the Cyniclons. The Mews refuse to believe it, and Dren orders Renee to attack them, but she doesn't move. Dren, sensing something is wrong, sends the Predasite down to help her, but Renee transforms into Mew Renee and fights both Dren and the Predasite at once, defeating both with apparent ease.
Renee transforms back into her civilian form while the other Mews are in awe at how she single-handedly defeated Dren, and they ask if she is going to join their team. Renee scoffs at them, saying that they're all freaks, and that she works alone, but Corina is shocked at Renee's rejection and pleads for her to join them, but Renee throws her back from her and demands that they leave her alone. The episode ends with the Mews looking on at Renee in horror.
Episode 11: The Taming of the Mew
Corina is devastated at Renee's rejection, reduced to a shell of her former self. Zoey, Kikki and Bridget are all dismayed at their friend's behaviour, and in an attempt to cheer her up, Zoey tells Corina that it's time for her afternoon tea. Corina unenthusiastically agrees and drinks the water from the plant on the table in front of her, professing that she "loves herbal". The girls go to Elliot and Wesley for help on snapping Corina out of it, but Elliot does not seem to take them seriously. Zoey, enraged, demands to know why he didn't tell them that the fifth Mew Mew was going to be a "lone wolf, drama queen diva like Renee". Elliot and Wesley tells the girls that they need to convince Renee that she needs to join the Mew Mews, claiming that it will take the team to a whole new level.
The girls go to a music store, where Renee is signing copies of her new CD. Zoey reaches Renee first, saying that she just needs to talk to her, but Renee's bodyguard, noticing that she doesn't even have a CD for Renee to sign, carries her out of the store, claiming that she is an agitator. They then go on top of a bridge, where Kikki and Zoey use binoculars to pick Renee's car out of a traffic jam. When Kikki spots her, Zoey tries to jump off the bridge to get to her, but her dress gets snagged on the handrail and she becomes stuck.
Disheartened, the girls go to a playground, where Kikki suggests that two of them jump Renee while the others tie her up. Bridget tells her that it wouldn't be a very good idea, implying that they're fighting for a losing cause. Zoey, however, tells the girls that she knows Renee will eventually join them, and Corina, snapping out of her stupor, demands to know how she knows that. Zoey says she can see it in her eyes, something that she saw in all the other Mews, and claims that they can see it too. Their resolve reignited, the girls run off to the studio where Renee will be staring on a TV programme, the Wild World of the Wilderness.
Renee, meanwhile, is doing a photoshoot, but is then seen to be slightly depressed when it ends, while her agent fawns over her. She sits alone in her dressing room, staring out the window, and then Dren comes in, crooning that "it's lonely at the top". Renee demands to know how he got in her dressing room, and then scoffs that he probably thinks she's still joining the Cyniclons. Dren says he hoped she was planning on reconsidering, and tells her that contrary to popular belief, the Cyniclons aren't evil.
Zoey, Kikki, Bridget and Corina, meanwhile, have arrived at the studio, and split up so that they can look for Renee. Corina, Kikki and Bridget find Renee first, and the girls are stunned to see that she is with Dren. Corina demands to know why Renee is with Dren, who is evil. Dren then traps Corina, Kikki and Bridget in a circle of sand, and Zoey comes in just in time to see Dren make them disappear, leaving only Bridget's glasses behind. Zoey is horrified, and demands he brings them back, and Dren says he'll only do so if Zoey and Renee fight. Both refuse, and Dren disappears. Renee tries to pick up Bridget's glasses, but Zoey stops her, telling her that if it wasn't for her foolishness, her friends would still be here.
At Cafe Mew Mew, Wesley tells Zoey and Elliot that Bridget, Kikki and Corina are all still alive, but are trapped in some sort of rapidly shrinking alternate dimension. Elliot does not seem to take their predicament seriously, and Wesley merely notes its graveness. Zoey demands that they help her, and Wesley says that the only way she can save her teammates is to enlist Renee's help; he says that Renee's Mew Mew instincts will kick in if she sees Zoey in danger and that, like a sister, she would rather fight than see her hurt. Zoey runs off to find Renee, while Wesley and Elliot remark that if she fails, the Mew Mew experiment will have been a colossal failure.
Meanwhile, Bridget, Kikki and Corina are trapped in the Dark Dimension, with none of them able to access their powers and Bridget unable to see because of her missing glasses. Corina proclaims that she thinks the dimension is shrinking.
Zoey goes to the film lot where the shooting of The Wild World of the Wilderness show will take place, claiming that she is Renee's pedicurist, but Renee dismisses her skeptical agent, Annie, saying that it's all right. Zoey pleads for her help in saving her friends, and Renee seems reluctant, saying that the last time she fought Dren, she almost got trapped in the same dimension the other Mews are in, lamenting that Dren is stronger now than he was before and finishing off by musing that Zoey may just be trying to trick her to get her to join the Mew Mews. Zoey assures her of her honesty, but before Renee can answer, she is called to go on set.
While Renee meets a snake that an animal trainer has brought on for the show, Dren confronts her agent, Annie, and steals her spirit. Zoey stumbles upon them, and Dren pins her onto the ground, taunting her that "it's over". Zoey kicks him off and transforms.
Meanwhile, the Predasite that was created from Annie's spirit, a giant snake dubbed Annie Conda, trashes the film set and tries to attack Renee, but Mew Zoey shields her, allowing herself to be captured while Renee looks on in horror. Zoey tells her to run, but Renee doesn't move, and Annie Conda squeezes Zoey very tightly, causing Dren to gasp and demand she let her go. The snake does so, and Zoey looks around to see what happened to Renee, but Dren says she ran away.
In the Dark Dimension, Corina, Kikki and Bridget begin to get sucked into a mass of sand, and Elliot and Wesley, who are monitoring their situation, say that the dimension is about to implode and that Zoey needs to hurry.
Zoey, meanwhile, is alone, exhausted, and up against Dren and Annie Conda. She believes that there's nothing more she can do for her friends, and that she failed. Dren says that she has one last chance to join him, but she refuses, retorting that his "slimy little friend would get jealous".
Corina, Kikki and Bridget are about to be pulled into the center of the liquid when Renee appears; Bridget, who was unable to see up until that point, has her glasses returned and Renee uses her weapon to slingshot the four of them out of the dimension. They return just in time to shield Zoey from Annie Conda's attack, and Corina, Kikki and Bridget all attack the Predasite, but to no results. The Mews are all dismayed, but then their weapons all react to being near the Strawberry Bell; there is a flash of light, and Zoey is able to destroy the Predasite.
Dren retreats, and the Mews thank Renee for her help, asking if she would be willing to join up with them. Renee tells them that she doesn't work with losers, but then says she'd be happy to join the Mews. The team embraces, but then a spotlight appears upon them, and they see that the battle had been caught on camera and shown on the Wild World of the Wilderness. Zoey finds herself assaulted with questions from the reporters who work on the show, and nearly spills the beans on the Mew Mews by saying that they only fight when Predasites are around and that they are all usually just waitresses at the Cafe, but Corina stops her. When the reporters continue to press her, Zoey cracks and can't help herself from saying, "Mew Mew Style, Mew Mew Grace! Mew Mew Power in your face!"
Elliot, Wesley and Mark all catch the end of the show, with the latter looking slightly confused and the leaders of Project Mew Mew unimpressed.
Episode 12: The Main Mew's Muse
Dren tries to poison the city by using cherry trees to pollute the air. The girls know they must destroy the trees, but Zoey can't bring herself to do it because one tree means so much to Mark.
Episode 13: Slime and Slime Again
After what happened in the last episode, Zoey is worried that Mark might find out her secret. On the day of the Kendo tournament that Mark is in, Dren attacks Mark with an Amoeba Predasite. Will Zoey be brave enough to defeat Dren's Predasite and keep Mark from getting killed?
Episode 14: Butterflies Are Freaky
Zoey meets Wesley's ex-girlfriend Chrys and tries to put them back together. Unfortunately two new Cyniclons, Tarb and Sardon, come to town and steal Chrys's spirit and fuses it with a butterfly specimen and a Predasite to make a butterfly monster named Toxic Beauty.

See, despite being enfused with the DNA of a finless porpoise, she's never learned to swim. This changes when the girls meet a little girl named Cassandra who has a fear of the water because she almost drowned a few years ago. Bridget and Cassandra try to teach each other to be brave and to try swimming again. Meanwhile, the Cyniclons Sardon and Tarb are on the ocean floor, culturing new Predasites.
As Bridget broods about her failures (and about her almost drowning), Elliot tells her that she'll find the bravery within her. Sure enough, when the Predasites attack and kick up a storm, Mew Bridget dives in after Cassandra, who is trying to rescue a young boy. She sees a strange light...and, suddenly, her legs turn into a fin. She is able to breathe underwater like a mermaid...and anyone she holds can do the same. As Mew Bridget leaps out of the water, the light weakens the Predasites, allowing the other girls to "Mewtilate" them.
