If you want to avoid large crowds, I'd suggest going on a Sunday (the week end visitors are usually traveling home on Sunday) or Monday! We found Thursdays to be the least crowded. Actually most the weekdays are not bad, but we haven't been this summer. Definitely get there by the time the park opens.

Is Silver Dollar City hard to walk? ›
This park is the most challenging to walk of any of the parks we've ever been to (and we've been to quite a few). Hersheypark & Busch Gardens Williamsburg have their challenging hilly sections, but ALL of Silver Dollar City is either walking downhill or walking uphill – there is very little level ground.
